We recently hiked to Laurel Fork Falls, a trek we used to make often, but haven't since my heart surgery. My heart did great that day, but the rest of me was not so well. I was sore for two days afterwards. I was surprised by the erosion damage we encountered. I was also surprised by the many trail updates that have occurred since our last visit. The Appalachian Trail Society has done a great job in this area keeping the trail up to date. Here are a couple of photos. I will upload more to the gallery soon.
